Quarterly Power Rankings

We’re a quarter of the way through the season so let’s see how the preseason rankings have changed compared to now. Maybe some teams are off of the season one try out period and are showing true colors, who knows but there was a lot of movement.

1(+1) Bears
2(+8) Browns
3(+6) Giants
4(-1) Steelers
5(+1) Packers
6(+11) Chiefs
7(+5) Cardinals
8(-3) Bucs
9(+10) Cowboys
10(+14) Panthers
11(+15) Seahawks
12(+6) Ravens
13(-6) Falcons
14(0) Jets
15(+15) Rams
16(-5) Vikings
17(+3) Patriots
18(-17) Texans
19(-3) Dolphins
20(-5) Broncos
21(-17) Saints
22(-9) Bills
23(+4) Raiders
24(-16) Colts
25(+4) Jags
26(-4) Chargers
27(+1) Bengals
28(-3) 49ers
29(-8) Eagles
30(-7) Commanders
31(0) Titans
32(0) Lions

Some notes on some big risers:

2. Browns(+8) – Beating the Jets and defending champ Texans in the last two weeks to stay undefeated is a solid come up to start the season.

6. Chiefs(+11) – Started 3-0 and then took a tough divisional loss to the Broncos, after beating the tough Vikings and Bills.

9. Cowboys(+10), Panthers(+14), Seahawks(+14) – Three teams who got rookie QBs are shooting up the rankings. The common thread is that they are still running the ball really well to help their young QBs.

15. Rams(+15) – Love seeing my NFC west brothers become Dawgs in season 2. Jesse started 2-0 with a win over the Steelers then lost two tough divisional games. Let’s keep it rolling and have a solid season 2 into a better season 3.

Some notes on the big Fallers:

13. Falcons(-6) – lost to austin week one. Got a fw in week 2 then beat Kumar and lost to little alex. Next three weeks against Austin, Connor, and Kumar are huge to stay in the top half of rankings.

18. Texans(-17) – this lower ranking isn’t because of how he has played as much as how everyone else has played over expected. The wins were expected against bengals and titans but losing to Steelers and blown out by the browns isn’t what you wanna see by our champ. I expect to see him still finish in the top 10 this season though

21. Saints(-17) – Another user who I didn’t expect to be this low. Pretty tough schedule to start the season but that’s no excuse for the Goat of BL who only lost 5 games all of last season.

22. Bills(-9) – You always expect Justin to be better but it never happens. He can’t beat good users consistently. I just don’t think it’s ever going to happen for him. Sack up dude.

24. Colts(-16) – Can’t throw and he’s not playing good defense. One of the Gamble games was a sim and the one he won was only by 7 points. Or he lost outright. Good thing this is a vacation division.

29. Eagles (-8) – went from playoff hopeful to 0-4 real quick. Did season one wear off here? Good thing is Matt has time to turn it around.

30. Commanders (-7) – I said it in the preseason ranking. Kook is good every other year and last year he had 10 wins. Do the math.
