News Clippings in History: Dan, Austin Return to BL – Reactions Mixed

December 7, 2019

In a surprising turn of events, Dan and Austin have returned to the Better League after their fiery departure last season. Austin will take over the Arizona Cardinals and Dan will take over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Dan was booted from the league in the middle of Season 20 after two games for swerve catching against Jerod’s Browns. He was promptly removed from the league and chat, causing a stir among the users. Austin, who thought the punishment was unjust, advocated for Dan’s reinstatement. When that wouldn’t happen, he left the league in solidarity with Dan.

The two users have reportedly been playing with Giants user Cody in a league named Madden Lads. However, the league would fold after two seasons, leaving Austin and Dan without a home. Cody reportedly convinced league commissioner Alex to bring the two back.

“I’m reluctantly allowing Dan and Austin to return to the league,” Alex said. “Dan is on a short leash and any further infractions will result in immediate removal. We want to have a competitive and fair league, and we hope they can contribute to that.”

Dan, who is thrilled to be back in the league, said he is honored to be given another chance.

“I’m grateful to Commissioner Alex and Cody for giving me this opportunity,” Dan said. “I’m excited to compete in this great league and prove that I belong here. I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

Austin, who has four Super Bowl victories in his short time in BL, vowed to add to his legacy.

“I’m happy to be back in the league and I’m ready to get to work,” Austin said. “I have a lot to prove and I’m determined to add to my legacy. I’m excited for the season to start and I can’t wait to get out on the field.”

It remains to be seen how Dan and Austin will fare in their return to the league, but their presence will surely add to the already high level of competition.
