M24 Team List Analytics – Better League

M24 Team List Analytics

I like to consider this article an appetizer, a teaser for what is easily the best day of content we have every year as a league. The DBC-led lottery will go down LIVE from Husky Stadium at 6 EST/3 PST Sunday, followed shortly thereafter by the team reveal led by Cmass and myself. Like a true hermit I’m holed up in my hotel room getting this content out for y’all instead of enjoying the beautiful Seattle sun, but that’s the dedication I have to the people. Without further ado, here are the Madden 24 Team List Analytics.

HIGHEST AVERAGE PLACEMENT

1. Philadelphia Eagles (7.67)
2. Miami Dolphins (7.9)
3. Baltimore Ravens (8.51)
4. San Francisco 49ers (9.09)
5. Seattle Seahawks (9.44)

Some interesting results here, no doubt. I think we all knew the Eagles would be #1 with the ridiculous roster they have on both sides of the ball, but look at how close Niko’s Fighting Dolphins came to unseating them! Might be the league’s obsession with speed, might be the pretty unis, but the Dolphins should be considered as much of a prized commodity as any. I’m so proud of my Seahawks for squeaking in at #5 just ahead of the Chargers, but this was less of people being HIGH on the Hawks and more a case of no one being particularly LOW on them. Lotta 8-13 placements on people’s lists. Lamar is still Lamar, and with QB mobility looking like it’s all the way back no one should be surprised that they came in at #3 even with the questionable rest of the roster. I refuse to acknowledge the #4 team. You can see who it is. Yeah.

LOWEST AVERAGE PLACEMENT

28. Denver Broncos (22.15)
29. New York Giants (22.41)
30. New Orleans Saints (23.28)
31. New England Patriots (26.16)
32. Los Angeles Rams (26.84)

LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOO nobody wants those trashass Pats and Rams. Like NOBODY. You never know with one ball for all etc. and we’ve seen some fluky results in the lotto for sure, but if either of those teams go top-15 it’ll be a statistical improbability. As far as the rest of the teams go, there’s certainly a wide spread with some user still being high on all three but overall the results accurately represent how comparatively unexciting those rosters are in my opinion. ALL TEAMS WITH >5 TOP 5 PLACEMENTS

Eagles (19) Dolphins (14) Ravens (12) Chargers (11) 49ers (10) Bengals/Cowboys (9) Seahawks/Chiefs (8) Bills/Falcons (7) Lionz (6)

You know, it’s right about here where I wonder how different those results would be if EZM was still around. Gotta think the Bills, Chiefs, and maybe even Chargers would be quite a bit higher right? As far as the rest of the results go, the only ones that surprise me a bit are the Lions and mayyyyyyyybe the Falcons (though Bijan, Pitts and those unis? Nut). Beyond that, great brands and exciting players abound.

ALL TEAMS WITH >5 BOTTOM 5 PLACEMENTS

Rams (22) Patriots (18) Broncos (12) Saints (10) Raiders (8) Packers/Texans (7) Cardinals/Bears/Commanders/Giants (6)

Commanders with 6 even with that defense? Cold world. I think what this list does more than anything else is further show just how much lower the league is on the Rams and Patriots than any other team in the league. And I get it!

BONUS CATEGORY: THE 5 MOST AVERAGE PLACEMENTS AKA THE HOUSE OF MID

14. Jaguars (15.28)
15. Jets (15.84)
16. Colts (16.75)
17. Panthers (17.31)
18. Bears (18.28)

The Anthony Richardson disrespect is duly noted.

That does it for the analytics! What surprised you the most? Where will you be watching the lotto and team reveal from? Post your answers in general… plz… I’m desperate for validation 🙂
