Part 3 of the Content-a-palooza

Part 3 of the content-a-palooza is underway and today we’re going to discuss some artificial intelligence. The question of the day is:

What’s your favorite position or positions to draft and why?

Everyone wants a HOFer and this is the first step to get one. So let’s check out the answers:

  • Talent-wise I think the draft typically has solid LBs & WRs. I’d say my preference is to draft at those positions as they can be developed easier than say DBs. If I had a top 5/10 pick, I’d prioritize elite DBs though.
  • My favorite position to draft is RB and Wr because I have the most influence on how well they develop
  • my favorite position to draft: DB. it’s always fun to draft an absolute freak at corner to dev and lock down your secondary for a cycle. besides drafting an ability QB, i’d argue drafting an ability DB is the next best feeling.
  • WR – depth throughout drafts provides opportunities for mid-round picks to develop into elite receivers. QB – fun to be in the position where you have to commit to developing a young qb. Safety – very hard to find an elite safety you can plug in right away
  • QB and hope for a ss or xf
  • Love drafting HB’s for the lore, that’s the only position I’ll ever get to the hall. On defense, I take pride in my AI DB’s.
  • Favorite positions to draft are the lines. To me they are the most important part on the field and dictate the game flow.
  • My favorite offensive position to draft is Runningback. Definitely the easiest to hit on and develop.
  • My favorite defensive position to draft is safety.  Dating back to M17 I’ve drafted some great players at strong safety.
  • WR and MLB since I will have more control over their development with minimal growing pains
  • Offense. Mostly QB and WR. Pretty straight forward to develop
  • Prob TE (cuz I actually get good stats with the drafted player) or QB just for the fun of it
  • Corner, rb, wr, te. All fairly easy to dev (besides cb) and this allows me to build a connection with my fake ai players
  • Favorite to draft is Corner and Receiver as they are imperative for what I want to do
  • TE, DB, FB
  • I used to like drafting LBs before usering was nerfed. I think RB is one of the most satisfying AI positions to success with because most of what they do is directly controlled by you rather than most positions where you leave them to do their own thing against the cpu

We got back to getting a little more in depth answers which is great I like picking brains and this is definitely doing that. We’re honestly all over the place with this question. Even though a lot of these users wanted an edge rusher when they picked their team, only one stated indirectly that they want a guy who gets after the QB which is the most surprising thing I came away with from all this.

Final tally:

WR – 7

CB – 6

HB – 5

QB – 4

S – 4

TE – 3

LB – 2

OL – 1

DL – 1

FB – 1
